Cloud & DevOps Courses in Ireland: A Practical Learning Path

A cloud course you can take alongside work in Ireland

CloudPros brings live teaching and practical project work to your own workspace. There is no commute to a training centre in Dublin or Cork, and weekend classes make it possible to keep your current job while developing new skills.

The course suits complete beginners as well as people moving from service desk, systems administration, QA or software development. Beginners build the foundations first. Experienced learners can connect what they already know to cloud infrastructure, automated releases and production troubleshooting.

What will you learn, and how does it relate to cloud work?

Ireland's Skills for Digital Specialists report identifies cloud and cybersecurity among important areas of digital skills demand. The practical connection is straightforward: an application needs infrastructure, controlled access, reliable deployments and people who can investigate failures.

SkillWhat you practise at CloudProsHow you explain it in an interview
Linux and networkingInspect services, permissions and connectionsFollow a request and locate a failure
AWS infrastructureBuild a multi-tier application environmentExplain compute, storage, subnets and access
Python and TerraformAutomate tasks and define reusable infrastructureShow how another engineer can repeat your work
CI/CD and containersTest, package and deploy an applicationWalk through a change from Git to deployment
Kubernetes and observabilityRun workloads and investigate their behaviourDescribe an incident, its cause and recovery

These skills support applications for cloud support, infrastructure, junior DevOps and platform support roles. The responsibilities overlap, so a clear project can demonstrate more than one part of your preparation.

Three projects to bring to an Irish technical interview

An AWS application environment. Show a diagram of the application and its dependencies. Explain which components are reachable from the internet, which are private and how access is controlled.

An automated release. Demonstrate a Git change that runs checks, builds an image and deploys the application. Show a deliberately failing check so you can explain how the pipeline prevents a bad release.

A troubleshooting account. Record the symptom, the evidence you examined and the change that restored service. This is a good way to demonstrate judgement as well as tool knowledge.

Your CV can then describe your contribution precisely: “Built a containerised application with a tested deployment pipeline and documented recovery steps.” During CloudPros CV reviews and mock interviews, you practise turning that work into clear examples for applications in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick or remote teams.

What support is included?

You learn with up to 15 people, taught by Olakunle Abiola. Live demonstrations and feedback help you understand why a command or design works. Recordings let you revisit a lesson while completing an exercise.

The course runs for 16 core weeks, 3 recap weeks and a bonus MLOps week. Alongside the technical work, you receive CV and LinkedIn reviews and mock interviews. CloudPros has 100+ graduates and a 5/5 rating from 50+ student reviews, with written and video stories available on the site.

How do classes fit Dublin time?
