Platform engineering bootcamp
Learn platform engineering.
Build paths other teams follow.
Platform engineers build the shared tooling that lets product teams ship without reinventing infrastructure: reusable pipelines, infrastructure modules, Kubernetes clusters and self-service workflows. CloudPros teaches those building blocks live, on a real multi-service application.
100+ graduates5/5 rating50+ student reviewsIs CloudPros a platform engineering bootcamp?
CloudPros is a DevOps and cloud engineering bootcamp that builds towards platform engineering. Students write reusable Terraform modules, build shared GitHub Actions workflows that other services plug into, run workloads on Kubernetes on AWS and release them through Helm and ArgoCD. The course also shows how internal developer platforms such as Backstage formalise those patterns. CloudPros is a live online bootcamp: 20 weeks in total, made up of 16 core weeks, 3 recap weeks and a bonus MLOps week. Classes run live at weekends, with recordings, practical challenges and CV, LinkedIn and interview support. It has more than 100 graduates and is rated 5/5 from 50+ student reviews.
What you will build, week by week
- Weeks 1 to 4
Foundations
Linux, networking, Git and Python. Platforms are built from automation, and automation is built from these.
- Weeks 6 to 9
Containers, pipelines and AWS
Docker images and production container patterns, GitHub Actions pipelines that test, build, scan and deploy, then AWS core services.
- Weeks 11 to 13
Infrastructure as code and the self-service platform
AWS automation and architecture design, Terraform modules, state and team workflows, then reusable CI/CD workflows and shared base images that let eight service teams get a production pipeline from a 30-line file. Includes an overview of Backstage, Crossplane and Atlantis.
- Week 14
Kubernetes on EKS
Cluster architecture, deployments, services, configuration and health checks on Amazon EKS.
- Week 16
Helm and GitOps
Package services as Helm charts and use ArgoCD so Git is the source of truth for every environment.
- Weeks 17 and 18
Observability and security for the platform
A shared observability stack with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo and OpenTelemetry, and cluster-wide guardrails: OPA Gatekeeper policies, External Secrets Operator, RBAC and NetworkPolicies.
Recap weeks 5, 10 and 15 consolidate each module, and bonus week 20 applies the same deployment and operations skills to machine learning systems. See every session on the curriculum page.
Who this suits
People aiming for platform, DevOps or cloud engineering roles, and developers who want to understand the infrastructure their teams depend on. You do not need DevOps experience to start; the first module builds the foundations.
What it is not
Platform engineering is usually a step after DevOps or cloud engineering experience, not an entry-level title. CloudPros does not promise a platform engineer job on graduation. It gives you the hands-on skills platform teams hire for and a project that shows you have built shared infrastructure, not just used it.

Questions people ask
What is the difference between platform engineering and DevOps?
DevOps is a culture and set of practices for delivering software quickly and safely. Platform engineering is a discipline that turns those practices into a product: an internal platform of reusable pipelines, infrastructure modules and self-service tools that product teams use. Platform engineers need strong DevOps skills first.
What skills does a platform engineer need?
Linux, networking and scripting; a cloud platform such as AWS; Terraform and reusable modules; CI/CD design; containers and Kubernetes; Helm and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD; observability; and the ability to design tools other engineers want to use.
Does CloudPros teach Backstage?
CloudPros shows how internal developer platforms such as Backstage, Port, Crossplane and Atlantis formalise the reusable pipeline and infrastructure patterns students build during the course. The hands-on focus is on building those patterns with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Helm and ArgoCD.
How long does the CloudPros course take?
20 weeks: 16 core weeks, 3 recap weeks and a bonus MLOps week. Live classes run at weekends and every session is recorded.
