Pod
A practical DevOps definition, with an example you can use.
The smallest deployable unit in Kubernetes: one or more containers with shared networking and storage resources.
An example you can picture
An API container and a supporting sidecar run in the same Pod. Other replicas of that application run in separate Pods.
The distinction that matters
A Pod is not a node. A node is a worker machine that can run many Pods; a Deployment manages a changing set of Pods.
Put it into practice
Inspect a Pod in a training namespace. Identify its containers, node, and current state. Then find the owning workload resource rather than assuming the Pod exists independently.
Connect the ideas: deployment and namespace. For the bigger picture, read the related learning guide.
